AQW Infinity Alpha — How to Play and Current Status
Quick answer: the Alpha has been live since 27 May 2026. At this time, only Kickstarter Backers and Upholders can log in and play; any player can sign in to view their character screen.
Who can play
The official 20 August access rule says only Kickstarter Backers and Upholders can log in and play at this time. Any player may log in with an AQW account to see their character on the character screen, but that does not grant play access.
Current Alpha version
The live test is an early Alpha rather than a numbered public release. Artix has not published a stable public version number; the latest dated Android build in the verified source set is the 26 August 2026 update.

- Confirm that you qualify as a Kickstarter Backer or Upholder under the current official access rule.
- Use an AQW account and follow only access instructions supplied by Artix or AQ2D.
- Desktop: use the official Steam-based PC/Mac test distribution provided to eligible players.

Current content
The 8 September checklist lists Battleon, Bludrut Keep and Dragon's Lair as playable, with 183 quests across 8 sagas and 200+ converted monsters. Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Healer and Infinity Hero are marked 100%; these checklist figures describe the current Alpha and can change.
Known limitations
- Alpha systems, class balance and numbers can change before release.
- No public access path has been announced for non-eligible players.
- Alpha progress reset policy and iOS Alpha timing are NOT CONFIRMED.
Android Alpha
The first Android Alpha test began on 20 August 2026. AQ2D released updated package version 0.0.254 on 26 August. Only Kickstarter Backers and Upholders can play. There is no public store date; use only the official AQ2D channel, never a third-party mirror.

Can anyone play the Alpha?

Is the AQW Infinity Alpha free?
The Steam listing says the eventual game is Free To Play, but current Alpha play access requires eligible Backer or Upholder status.
